Aubrey's Friends

Here are some of Aubrey's friends that she has made in our playgroup. Last week we had a "Fun in the Sun" day at a friend's house. The little ones got to play in the kiddie pool and the big kids got to swim in the big pool and jump on the trampoline. We grilled out and everyone brought a dish and the mom's got to enjoy hanging out. It was a lot of fun and as you can see Aubrey really enjoyed it.












Then on Thursday we went to the Zoo with our playgroup. Aubrey got to pet a ferrett and a naked mole rat. She also got to see a baby alligator up close. We love going to playgroup and visiting with our new friends!

Miss Independent

So, now that Aubrey is 14 months old, she thinks she is such a "big girl"!
She enjoys playing dress-up, as you can see with the hat and the shoes! She likes to wear her Sunday shoes in the kitchen and stomp around because it makes noise. She is also trying to figure out the buckle on her high chair - she thinks it's fun to "help" us get her in and out of the chair. Curtis thought it would be a good idea for her to feed herself yogurt the other day. As you can see in the pictures - she was doing a great job - however, she made one huge mess. I'm just glad that it was daddy's turn for bath! She even stirred it up just like her daddy does! It was too cute!

Mashed Potatoes

Well, it seems that Aubrey is taking after her daddy in more ways than one! She fed herself mashed potatoes the other night and once she was through she felt it was time to "wash" her hair! What a mess she made, I'm just glad it was daddies night to give her a bath! She was so proud that she fed herself and then "cleaned" up!

The Lake

Our good friends the Osbornes invited us to go to Lake Erie and go jet skiing last Saturday. This was Aubrey's first time to actually try the water at the beach- she didn't like it at all. She actually enjoyed the life jacket - but wouldn't even stand on the sand. So, she sat on a big rock with her dad for a while (he wouldn't get on the jet ski), while I went tubing and rode the jet ski. It was a lot of fun, the lake is a fun place to go and there are lots of really nice beaches. On Monday we went to the beach with some mommy friends and let the kids play in the water. This beach was pretty shallow, so Aubrey could sit in the water and play. Once she got used to this, she didn't want to get out, she had a good time and I enjoyed visiting with other mommies!

The Zoo

We got a family membership to the zoo last week, so guess where we will be going a lot! We got to go last week before Curtis started his classes and here are some pictures that we took.
Aubrey got to pet the goats, she thought this was great! She also enjoyed the gorillas, they have a one year old baby gorilla that enjoys showing off for the kids, so that was a lot of fun to watch!
Aubrey also enjoyed walking as opposed to the stroller - she has become Miss Independent! Yeah for us! :)

Fun in Cleveland, MS

Here is Kevin opening one of his birthday presents - he got to go on a hunt for this present and found it in our car!

Rachel and Aubrey love bath time and had fun playing and splashing together - they also like to run around naked after and show off their cutie booties!

Grandpap enjoyed rocking the girls and singing lots of songs to them!
Aubrey and Rachel loved to look out the back door at Roxie (our shared black lab) and they also enjoyed watching Gigi water the flowers in the back yard.

Kevin, Rachel & Aubrey

While in the south this summer we got to visit with family. These are pictures of the Garrison grandchildren, Kevin, Rachel and Aubrey. We celebrated Kevin's birthday which is this month and Aubrey's birthday which was in June. Also, as you can tell in the other two pictures Rachel enjoys cooking and dressing up. Her ensemble consists of a pair of Curtis' underwear (it was clean) and the top to my swim suit with her beautiful red daisy shoes. Isn't she gorgeous! What fun we had with Kevin and Rachel, Aubrey loved playing chase with them. The house was full of total chaos and of course we wouldn't have it any other way! Right Gigi and Grandpap! :)

Pool Fun
