Curtis' 30th Birthday Party!!!!

Curtis turned 30 this past week (the 12th) and for his party we had a Murder Mystery Dinner! It started out as a surprise, but by the time the party came around he knew about most of it! We still had a blast! We invited friends from church and friends that Curtis goes to school with. Everyon dressed up as their characters and really played their parts - it was awesome!
The storyline was about a father (Ed Dockafellar) who passed away and had left an inheritence for each of his 5 children (3 sons & 2 daughters) if only they would follow 3 rules - 1. They had to be married before midnight (of the party) 2. they had to have contributed something great to the world and 3. they had to move to the country before midnight (of the party). So, the night they were all to gather together one of the brothers is murdered. There are 8 suspects - the 4 remaining children and their spouses or fiances. The remaining characters - friends & family of the suspects were given clues to try to determine who the killer was.

Here are the friends/family and others (lawyer, forensic expert, & reporter) that were given clues to solve the mystery!
Curtis & I dressed in our "costumes" I was a forensic expert and Curtis was one of the suspects! Tim & Tammy Osborne dressed as Aunt Phillipa and Uncle Albert Dockafellar! Tammy won the prize for best female costume!

Our suspects!!!
Curtis as "Magnus Dockafellar" and Lyndsey as his wife "Pebbles" (she loves to tell rock jokes!)
Dan as Charles Concerto and Melaura as his wife Cynthia Dockafellar (an agoraphobic)
Gens as Tommy Whip (a jockey) and Nicci as his wife Serina Dockafellar(a bellydancer). Gens won best male costume!
Tim as Duncan Dockafellar (a boxer) and Steph as Polly Darton (a famous singer). Duncan turned out to be our murderer - although no one solved the mystery!!!
And our group shot! What a fun and crazy bunch of people!

Post new pictures, Beth! I miss them! :-) How are you feeling these days? By the way, I watched our graduation video last night--don't ask me why...and the Senior video. Remember the acapella version of Grease that Mrs. Armstrong and Mrs. Brown picked? It sounds even worse ten years later. :-)
