Once Upon A Mattress

Last night Aubrey and I went to see Once Upon a Mattress - the musical about the Princess & the Pea. It was put on by a local high school and some of our church friends were in it. It was absolutely wonderful - our friend Tyler was the Prince and he did an amazing job! His brother, Thomas and their foster brother Marlon were both in it as well as members of the chorus. They all did outstanding, it was truly entertaining! And Aubrey loved the Princesses (all the girls in the play were princesses according to her). After the show we had to go around to all of them so she could talk to them - it was so cute. She asked me where one of them was going and I told her that she was going to change her clothes because she was a pretend princess dressed up to tell us a story. She looked at me and said, "She is not pretend, mommy, she's a real princess!" So, I asked her if Tyler was a real Prince and she said, "No, he's just Tyler!" Then she wanted to meet Tyler's mommy, the Queen. We were able to get a picture with Aubrey, the Queen, the Princess, the Prince (Tyler) and his mom, Tammy! Aubrey did absolutely amazing, considering we did not get home until almost 11 - 3 hours after her bedtime!
