Aubrey and her friends

This is one of Aubrey's new friends Madison. Her daddy is a first year med student. They moved up here from Alabama, but her mommy is from Canada - so she's actually closer to her family now. Her mommy and I have gotten to be very good friends and we do lots of stuff with the girls. Aubrey and Madison have swim class together at the Y, they go to story time together at the Mall library and then play at McDonald's after. Madison is also going to be a big sister in January!

Here is Aubrey being silly - she figured out how to put one of her cups into a pitcher and drink out of it. It's so fun to watch her try things out and see what works and what doesn't!

This is Dailan - his daddy is in Curtis' class and his mommy and I are good friends to. He is also going to be a big brother in December! Aubrey and Dailan like watching Baby Einstein's together (and drinking their milk)!

Dailan had a birthday party last week (he turned 2) and he and Aubrey were the entertainment - they played the piano together and it was wonderful! :) They even sang a little to!

Bath time

I can't quite figure out how to get these pictures to turn - but I thought they were so cute - I had to share them. Aubrey loves her bath time and "floating" in the water. One of her favorite things to do is see how much she can splash mommy or daddy!

Another zoo trip

One of the last "warm" days in Erie was spent at the zoo with our friends in our playgroup. We had a great turnout and the kids had a blast! Aubrey chose to sit with one of the frog statues - this picture is just for Mama Nise

The orangutans are so much fun to watch - there is a mama, daddy and baby that is about 2 years old. They love looking through the glass at the kids and the kids are just mesmerized by them.

Some more of our friends - resting while the kids play. We just love our playgroup!!!

Cruise around the bay

This past Monday (the 18th) we got to take a dinner cruise around the bay - compliments of LECOM SGA. It was nice to be able to get away and relax a little, even though the weather wasn't the best. As you can see it was very overcast and it actually started raining while we were out. But we enjoyed our time together.

Aubrey enjoyed watching the big paddles on the boat and being the center of attention - as usual!
She also enjoyed eating lemons and making faces and then trying to feed them to her daddy!

Port Farms

This past Saturday, Aubrey and I went to a place called Port Farms. It is a pumpkin farm that has lots of activities for kids and adults as well. They had their opening day Harvest Festival this past weekend, so we decided to go check it out.

This is Aubrey and Emily (one of her friends from our playgroup) playing in a corn box (instead of a sand box). This was so much fun, even the adults joined in. We also brought some corn home in our pockets accidentally!
They also had other play areas, two big racing slides, a tricycle race track (and big tricycles for the adults), a corn maze, a rope maze, straw fort, hay rides and goats to pet. One of Aubrey's favorite places was Tiny Town - they had homemade buildings set up in an area with a gravel road. Aubrey enjoyed pushing the cars inside the buildings and digging in the dirt!

Here she is, eating her snack (no she's not picking her nose!) - she has some goldfish in her hand and is trying to figure out how to eat them without dropping them!

Dress Up

As you can see Aubrey enjoys putting on mommy's shoes - she's even cuter trying to walk in them!
She thought it was so funny when I tied her sweatshirt around her waist - then she put a roll of tape around her arm and started jabbering like it was a telephone!

She also loves hats and just had to wear Pop Pop's new hat before we sent it to him!

Another day at the zoo

Last week we spent another morning at the zoo. This time Aunt Cindy went with us and took lots of pictures of the animals and Aubrey and me. It was a nice cool day - a lot of kids had gone back to school - so it was not crowded at all and we got to enjoy the animals.

Aubrey made a friend with the goat - when she was waving bye to him - he "bleeted" at her - she thought that was so neat - her eyes got so big!

The lions were taking a "cat nap" - but it was still cool to see them - they are so big!

Aubrey, Cindy and I all got to see a giraffe drinking - I have to say that is something that I have never seen - it was pretty cool to watch it bend down so far to get a drink of water! The Erie zoo also has kangaroos - they can hop across the trail right in front of you - they are very interesting looking creatures.

Erie now only has one polar bear - his brother passed away a couple of weeks ago. He broke his leg and they operated on him - but on the way back from Pittsburgh he died of cardiac arrest. So, this bear has been a little lonely - but this day he enjoyed swimming and playing for the kids.

Aubrey liked watching the meerkats running around their den - I think they reminded of her Tater Tot running around our house!
She also liked the leopard - although she tought he was getting a little to close! And the horse is always a fun one to pet and talk to .

Luau

Some friends of ours had a luau a couple of weeks ago. Of course all of the pictures that I have from it are of the kids - so I hope you enjoy them. This is Dailan and Aubrey "pushing" Jackson in one of Dailan's cars.

Here Dailan is showing Jackson how to honk the horn to get everyone out of his way! Isn't he going to be such a good big brother (his mom is due in December).

Now, Dailan has decided that he wants to "ride" in the car so he walks it all over the yard - it was so cute to watch him do this!

This is Alyssa enjoying some Pina Colada. She couldn't get enough of that stuff!

And here is Aubrey just "chillin" in her luau dress barefoot of course!

Pop Pop's Visit

Pop Pop helped Aunt Cindy drive back to Erie a couple of weeks ago. So, Aubrey got to enjoy some time with him. Even though she was incredibly cranky most of the time, due to teeth, she still got to have fun lounging with Pop Pop in the chair watching one of her Little Einstein videos!

She also enjoyed sitting on his feet while playing her piano! And of course he didn't mind one bit!
Aunt Cindy and Pop Pop helped Aubrey make the mashed potatoes for supper on Friday night. They were so yummy - they did such a good job!
Aubrey enjoyed licking the spoons when she was finished stirring them! She loves mashed potatoes - this time they did not end up in her hair though!
