since I've updated our blog. But we're finally caught up at the moment. Since we moved into our new house in June, the computer has been in the sunroom, which is not insulated or heated except with space heaters. I am not a fan of the cold, so it was hard for me to stay in that room for to long to get anything done plus it was to cold for the kids to be in there so it was hard to find time when they were not awake and other things didn't need to be done! I would check my e-mail and put together our weekly church bulletin and that was just about it! We recently did some re-arranging and moved the computer into the insulated part of the house and I can now do a few things on the computer while the kids are playing! Currently Rylan is taking his morning nap and Aubrey is sitting at the table painting - so I am loving our new set-up!
There are lots of new posts on our blog - so take a few minutes and check out all that we have been doing and how much our kiddos are growing!!!
Curtis is currently driving about 35 minutes to Meadville, PA to do an Internal Medicine rotation, this will continue until the end of April. He's very busy, but learning lots and getting ready for his Step 2 Board Test which will be in June.
Aubrey is almost 3 - can't believe it! She's a very independent little girl who is having to learn that she can't do it all by herself! We were able to go see the Princesses in Disney on Ice in January and ever since then, she's been in love with the princesses. We are planning a Princess party with one of her friends, Madison, who is about 5 weeks older than Aubrey. We're really excited about it - all of their playgroup friends will be invited and it's going to be a "costume party" where all the kids get to dress-up as their favorite character! She also gets to go to school 1 day a week. Her Bible Class teacher also teaches pre-school, so on Tuesdays Aubrey spends the day with Miss Denita, Madison & Beverly learning all kinds of things, letters, numbers, animals, music, etc. She absolutely loves going to school and Miss Denita!
Rylan is almost 9 months old - wow, it has flown by. He's trying to figure out the whole walking thing and would much rather be standing up than laying down or even sitting. One of his favorite games is playing peek-a-boo with himself - pictures and more explanations are in another post. He also has recently started a new game of making different noises and wanting you to imitate him. It's so much fun. The other night he was trying to get the TV to imitate him and then got mad when it wouldn't play his game! It was very funny to watch! He is now working on tooth #6 and maybe more, he won't let us look to close. Since getting all these teeth, he's more interested in eating what ever he can put in his mouth and less of what we try to feed him from a spoon. He's like a little Cookie Monster!
I stay busy with 2 kids - we have a lot of fun with our friends and all the fun things to do in Erie. I enjoy my Tuesdays with just one child and really enjoy them on the occasional day that Rylan gets to spend with Tammy - a church friend. Having this day has really helped me to relax a little, get some things done without interruptions and to be able to enjoy Aubrey and Rylan more during the rest of the week.
That is about all that's going on with us. Hope you enjoy the new posts and pictures! Look forward to hearing from you!
