I am once again participating in the March of Dimes March for Babies on April 27th. This is a 6.2 mile walk to raise money for the March of Dimes. Every year, half a million babies in the U.S. are born prematurely. Premature birth is the leading cause of newborn death and many life long disabilities. The funds we raise in WalkAmerica support research that saves babies' lives. The mission of March of Dimes is to improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth, and infant mortality.
This year the march is very personal to me because last summer, my nephew Samuel David Gilbert was born 4 weeks pre-mature. He is now a very healthy 9 month old and we are so thankful to God for this. Please check out my website for more information about the March of Dimes.
