What a whirlwind the past 6 weeks have been! We started it off on May 13th with the kids and me flying to Tennessee to celebrate my dad’s graduation from college. We spent 5 days in TN before driving all night with Deanna, Chris and Sam back to Erie, PA where they spent 6 days with us. During this 6 days we had a Princess Party to celebrate Aubrey’s 3rd birthday, drove to Niagara Falls for the day and spent time with friends. Then we all got back in the car and drove about 4 hours to Findlay, OH where my cousin was married. What a wonderful time we had with family – some we hadn’t seen in 5 years!!! We spent the night at the hotel where the wedding took place, then got up and were able to have breakfast with family before heading back to Erie. We were in Erie for 6 days while the kids and I said good-bye to some very dear friends – Katie, Olivia & Nora moved to Charlotte, NC along with Derek (the hubby & daddy) and Melanie & Sophie moved to Albany, NY along with Todd (also the hubby & daddy). We were very sad to see them go and miss them terribly, but are so excited for the next steps they are taking in their lives. We then packed up and headed south for 4 weeks. Curtis was completing a rotation in Cleveland, MS where his family is, so the kids and I visited back and forth between Cleveland, Germantown, TN (where Deanna & Chris live) and Jackson, TN (where my parents live). While we were in the south we celebrated my birthday (the BIG 30), Sam’s 1st birthday, Rylan’s 1st birthday, Aubrey’s 3rd birthday, my dad’s birthday, my mom’s birthday, Curtis’ dad’s birthday, Kevin’s (our nephew) birthday, Rachel ‘s(our niece) birthday and Chris’ dad and sister’s birthdays – all with the exception of 2 are in June or July!!! It was loads of fun and very exhausting! On Aubrey’s actual birthday she got to have a party at Chuck E Cheese with her TN friends and all of her grandparents, great-grandparents, 2 aunts, a cousin and some distant cousins to! We got to go to the Memphis Zoo, the West Tennessee Safari and a Japanese Steakhouse. The month was filled with traveling and lots of fun with family and friends. In all the kids and I have traveled approximately 5800 miles in the past 6 weeks. We’ve decided that it is now time to stay home for a while – so if you want to see us you’ll have to come to us! :)
Hope you enjoy all the pictures that we’ve added – we took over 600 pictures just in the month of June, so below is a small sampling of them.
Aubrey is glad to be home - she really missed her toys!
